Open MSOffice 2007 File in MSOffice2003

When I Installed office 2007 on few computer of my office i use to get a problem that bydefault it saves in office 2007 format and others who have older version of MS Office they couldn’t read the new file so they asked me if I can do something for this. I searched for the same and got a tool from Microsoft that could read all the files of the MS office 2007 in MS office 2003 this tool is from Microsoft and called Microsoft Office Compatibility Pack.

You can install this on your computer and after installation ms office 2007 file will get opened in your ms office 2003 or Office XP version and it will allow you to save the files in 2007 file format.

Actually this installer adds the extension capability to older version of the Office.

You can simply download it from Microsoft website and can install it.

Microsoft say “By installing the Compatibility Pack along side of Microsoft Office XP, or Office 2003, you will be able open, edit, save, and create files using the Open XML Formats new to the 2007 Microsoft Office system. Office 2000 users, as well as users of Windows 2000 SP4 and later, can convert Open XML Formats to binary file formats from within Windows Explorer.”

Its 27mb in download size and can be install easily.

You can download it from here

It would be a good idea if you can update your computer with latest updates from Microsoft.
